In 1946 the city was incorporated as Avondale, and in the 1980s it experienced tremendous residential and commercial growth. Today it is a live, work, and play community with a great combination of family-oriented neighborhoods, recreational amenities, and open spaces. Adding to its allure, especially for race fans, Avondale is home to the Phoenix Raceway which hosts two NASCAR Cup Series. Avondale also encompasses several great neighborhoods with a variety of Avondale real estate options.
